| | |
Topics:Catastrophic workplace incidents impact people in ways that can have lasting negative consequences. Even crisis-prepared companies often overlook these needs. Effective response requires an understanding of what people need from management, and how it’s provided. In a recent survey by SHRM, only 34 percent of companies indicated that human resource issues formed a significant part of their organization’s business continuity or disaster plans. Another 36 percent indicated that these issues were only somewhat part of their plans. Beyond basic survival, employees need various items following a workplace disaster: --Immediate aid and assurance of safety; --Information and reassurance; --Understanding and ongoing support; and --A rapid return to productivity. Come spend the day learning more about these and other ideas and solutions through our individual presentations and an interactive Tabletop Exercise co-facilitated by Extreme Behavioral Risk Management and Eagle Rock Alliance. There will be time for networking and visiting the vendor showcase as well. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided by Goldman, Sachs & Co. | |
