Personal Bio or Company Description:

Mr. Greenwood is the Vice President of Corporate Emergency Planning and Security at Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Incorporated. He has been part of Con Edison for over 40 years and has held a number of positions throughout his career. Mr. Greenwood's previous position was Director of EH&S' Field Services, and his background includes significant experience as an Operations General Manager in the gas utility sector. In that area, Mr. Greenwood served in various engineering and operating positions including: General Manager, Manhattan Gas Operations, General Manager, Queens Gas Operations and General Manager of Bronx Administration. In addition, he has served on numerous industry committees, including the American Gas Association, and the Metropolitan Service Managers Association. Earlier in his career, he served as Chairman of the Northeast Gas Distribution Council. Currently, Mr. Greenwood is a Board member of the American Red Cross, BNet (Business Network of Emergency Resources) and has been a member of the CPE (Contingency Planning Exchange) for the last several years.

As the Vice President of Emergency Management, Mr. Greenwood oversaw the Company's response to the terror attacks of 9/11. He has implemented the Incident Command System as operating procedure for response to incidents and has continued the tradition of outreach and cooperation between Con Edison and the myriad of agencies the company supports during events of local and national concern.

 

Mr. Greenwood received an Engineering Degree from the New York Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Adelphi University. He has attended the Executive Management Training course at the University of Virginia - Darden Graduate sector as well as Dartmouth College - Amos Tuck Graduate School of Business Administration
