Robert T. Imbornoni, Deputy Response Officer, American Red Cross in Greater New York

Bob has been with the Greater New York Chapter of the American Red Cross (ARC/GNY) since December 2005.  He oversees response operations of the busiest Red Cross chapter in the United States.  These operations include the initial response to 8 – 10 disasters a day though out the chapter’s jurisdiction of New York City, Rockland, Orange, Putnum, and Sullivan Counties in the Lower-Hudson Valley region of New York.  He also oversees the chapter’s 24-hour Emergency Communications Center, Client Services Unit, Disaster Mental Health & Health Services personnel, and Mass Care and Sheltering unit.

Before joining the Red Cross, Bob spent more then 20 years with the New York City Police Department.  Where he reached the rank of Lieutenant and retired as the Emergency Management Liaison for the Chief of Department.  

Bob has a Masters in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice both from Mercy College.
