The Long Island Chapter of the Contingency Planning Exchange (CPE-LI) was chartered in March 2004 as the first regional chapter member of the New York City based Contingency Planning Exchange (CPE). The CPE-LI operates in conformance with the CPE'S mission as a non-profit educational organization with a mission to foster the exchange of business continuity and disaster recovery planning information and techniques through awareness and education within the Long Island arena.
The CPE will support disaster recovery and business continuity planning needs by offering the latest in recovery response solutions including preventative practices, software and technology solutions, as well as communication systems. Emphasis is placed on Long Island based resources and training to provide a forum for professionals to freely exchange ideas and best practices. The CPE’s goal is to facilitate collaborations between Long Island based companies, service organizations as well as local government services. These collaborative relationships will elevate the state of emergency preparedness and business resiliency for our Long Island Chapter members while also serving the best interest of the community at large.
The CPE-LI hosts “2 hour” monthly meetings. 8:00 am – 10:00 am. and 2 to 3 half-day Conference annually. In addition, special meetings may be hosted to focus on specific topics of interest.
In addition to our standard membership benefits, our chapter promotes both informational and educational roundtables and less formal networking sessions.
